Where we come from
“Deutsches Weintor” is the entrance to “Deutsche Weinstraße” (German Wine Route), the country´s oldest wine track. Built nearly 90 years ago it belongs to us and our winery was named after this monument.
This impressive gate is situated directly on the border to Alsace, France. It is 20 meters high, 16 meters in breadth and hidden beneath are wine cellars with a capacity of 400.000 liters. Two copper motifs crown its` brim, symbols of eternal prosperity meant for the vintners along the route. In this cultural landscape the Pfalz (Palatinate) one finds light-hearted and untroubled mentality, a mediterranean climate and many rich pleasures.
Situated along the German Wine Route, Germanys` foremost wine-growing region with almost 23.400 hectares is an absolute must for wine lovers. Not only will you find fine Rieslings and Pinots here (Noir, Grigio & Blanc), but also varieties such as Dornfelder, Sauvignon Blanc and even Cabernet Sauvignon.
Who we are
Deutsches Weintor is Pfalz´s largest Winegrower Cooperative. It boasts around 500 families that are active members with almost 900 hectares of vineyards, ensuring the highest of quality, diversity and the conservation of a the cultural-historical landscape. Paramount, our passion for winegrowing and the creation of high-quality wine. We achieve the high quality demands we place on our wines and their production by, growing, nurturing, managing and bottling, all under one roof.

Traditional craftmanship in combination with the most modern methods of winemaking technology. The use of only healthy and grapes, enable us at “Deutsches Weintor” to produce wines of excellence. Our reward on more than one occasion already, to receive the accolade „German Red/White Wine of the Year “for our red and white wines! Variety: Riesling
A full-bodied, spicy yet smooth wine full of fruit with a bouquet reminiscent of sweet honeydew melon. A velvety and charming “Pfälzer”.
Variety: Pinot Grigio
If you are looking for a wine with character, then this is the one for you. An expressive and elegant Pinot Blanc with good structure, lively acidity and spicy persistence which lingers on the palate.
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
A typical Sauvignon Blanc with a refined and clear perfume aroma of gooseberries, citrus fruits and fresh apples wafting to the nose. Refreshingly fruity on the palate with perfectly well integrated fine acidity.
